I thought it was illegal in montreal to be offering squeegee services at a red light on the street.

there seems to be more and more of them now.

Yeah, that's soooooooooooo right ! Every day, streetgang **** up my car with their old water and dirty squeegees.... And you know what is the worst ?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?! THEY WANT MONEY FOR THAT !!!! We should kill every streetgang members who dirty my window and let those squeegees killin' assholes and selling drugs...


Or, is it the opposite ?

Even that 80$ cash a day sounds a lot for squegees look a it that way: It only take 40 cars with 2$ each to make that 80$...And they recieve from a lot more then 40 cars a day over there...So BS+ (80$ to 140$) cash a day= not that bad...and enough money for all the drug needs...
 
one came up to me today on st-denis / ontario st, i justed washed my car, she was about to wipe my windshield but i did my winshield washer thing. i washed my car for nothing
 
dude 80$ a day that is a low salary for a squeegee

back in the 80's - 90's they were doing from 150$ - 300$ a day

its logical, they made atleast 2$ every red lights

how many redlights in 8-10 hrs ?
 
i just honk to make sure they look at me and tell them not to touch it....if not they'll just jump on your windshield without even asking you if you want it cleaned up...
 
In colombia a few years ago, there was a group of vigilantes shooting the equivalent of squeege punks when they got agressive, lots of them got killed, but they got the point and its not a problem anymore.
 
is it wrong to jump a squeegee that washes your car after you cleary tell them NO, not to touch your car?
 
The problem of squeege kids and homelessness is alot more deeply rooted than you think. I don't give any money because I don't wanna encourage their activities, but at least try and be nice to them. Most of them are on the streets because they ran away from home due to abusive, or substance abusing family members. They end up on the street due to weak support networks, lack of education (because of running away at a young age), and they are once again treated like shit from everyone because they are really aggressive due to their desperate situation.

The least you can do is refuse their services in a very nice manner. If they jump on my car I just turn my windshield wipers on, smile and say "I just washed the car but thanks anyway", and I'll give em a cigarette if I have some. You'd be suprised how much of a difference a smile and some politeness can make for these guys who are treated like shit from everyone they have encountered!

the joys of a 3rd world country.

I just want to make clear that it really isnt a violent country, well.. it is, but in certain spots, you just know not to go there, and the vigilante stuff, it wasnt just at random people, but the ones that caused trouble, over there the favorite past time of homeless people is sniffing glue, which down the line drives them crazy... those you gotta watch out for, if you ever see a person devoid of any capability to comprehend or use reason, stay out of the way unless you're prepared to kill them.

Anyways, i try to be nice to squeeges, but some take it too far.
