DVD+R discs for sale

I bought 200 DVD+R discs (2 spindles of 100).

They are BENQ 8X DVD+R. One spindle is still sealed. The other spindle is opened with one disc missing. I bought them for my cousin but his old dvd player doesn't read them...

$40 per spindle obo
 
Future Shop is selling those disks in packs of 200 for $59... or the equivalent of $29.50 per spindle... I know because me box just arrived yesterday :)

Please read properly before posting stuff like this...

First of all, I checked the Future Shop site and they are selling the 4X, not the 8X.

Second, the ones Future Shop is selling are not presently in stock, they "will ship when available".

Regardless, this isn't the same product...

i got mine from futureshop and there 8x...
 
I also got mine from FutureShop and they are 8X :)

They are only shipping 8X... the problem is most machines only write up to 4X so they are calling them 4X!

DVD-R has better compatability with DVD readers..

DVD-R is compatable with 97% of readers while DVD+R is only compatable with 84% or Readers.
 
So the disk is silver top wothout any printing (finger print friendly) or with Benq printing...???

I hate those silver top disks...:(

if it's 8X... 200pcs/50$ is a good price!

he is right. I don't think i have found a dvd player that plays dvd+r. I have tried alot of dvd players at stores with a dvd+r disc and no success yet. great price for people looking to back up large volumes of data
 
well, my PS2 reads DVD+R, and one of my DVD player plays DVD+R.... but I really don't like the silver top DVD media....
 
i can't find the article, but if you do a quick search on the net the CEO of BENQ said that DVD+R is the superior media and will overtake DVD-R in the marketplace...

Anyway $50 for 199 pieces, you save $20 over Future Shop...
 
isn't it 200 pcs for 50$? can you confirm the top color? is it printed with benq logo or just simple silver top?

If its the same ones as i have (wich im 95% sure they are), then they are not silver topped, they have a pretty cool design and some space for you to write on.
