the reasion why no one has ever heard of it is because they are brainwashed to spent $$$$$$$$ rather than $$$ for power,.
just because it's on a diesel doesn't make it inferior..

turbo is a turbo...manifold is a manifold..all depends on who is putting it all together!!!

a full deisel set up from the scrap yard is 75-100$ for manifold
about 100-500$ for turbo depending on Km on it etc..
volvo's 1.8 T come with the t3/t4 hybrid..and i think the deisel manifold comes w/ a garret T3 flange so.....do the math!!! easily a 230Hp monster on a 2L w/ a flat torque curve ( I actually tested this setup on the engine dyno software i have)

yes the TDI manifold bolts right on..a little tricky on the old 1.8's but it fits fine on the 2l cross flow, i even think you can use the OEM downpipe, from the turbo , so everything looks stock, if your don't want to go more that 10 PSI the deisel turbo is good, a buddy of mine bolted the whole thing on in one weekend just to see if it worked....THE GUY WAS BURNING OUT IN 2nd gear

That turbo setup was on a Motronic crossflow?
'cause stupid ass Digifant isn't that bright to understand boost.....
