89$ Hankook S1 EVO K107 94 Y, treadwear 240, trac. AA, temp.

79$ Hankook ventus primus K105 treadwear 310, trac. AA, temp.

102.50$ Falken ZIEX ZE-912 treadwear 360, trac.

Don't be fooled by the treadwear alone. Many factors can vary the treadlife of a tire. For example, the Hankook K107 has a 240 treadwear rating, but it's solid bands can increase it's lifespan compared to a tire that has tread blocks, because it eliminate the friction created by each block constantly coming into contact with the road.

Everything else equal, a tire with solid band (like the ContiProContact and K107) with a 240 treadwear could have a treadlife about the same as a V-tread with a 300-320 treadwear rating.

A tire like the K107 is also excellent for high speed stability. I would go with something like this is you do alot of highway mileage.

The Ziex 912 is a good compromise tire. It's not an excellent performer in any aspect, but it provides an interesting mix of treadlife, and can let you have some fun. They warn you of spirited driving very early, however they are very progressive at the limit and very predictable.

Never tried the K105.

I can't really give any suggestion yet, it depends on where you drive, how you drive, how often you're willing to change tires, and how much you want to spend. However, IMO the best bang for the buck right now in terms of an all-around tire for a spirited driver is the Falken 452.
