Drag Turbo Ford Tempo detail post.

Je peux te dire que 25psi c'est pas un problem pour le block. mes oui c'est stock mes oublie pas ces forger.


yes its all stock but its forged , since this is a original ford turbo engine all the piston are forged and the connecting rods ca ntake up to 420hp and the rest of the engine even more , so i'm not worried. I will bost from 20psi t o30psi and I will not worry.

Well I bit late but...................................better late then never.



Well I'm partly back .due to health reasons I had to stop working on my projects.
well its not like I could have I was hurt, but i'M getting better now, Im far from 100%
but I can move a bit and do a few things.

I got to take it ezzy thou its not like I can start swaping engines out, thats not going
to happend for a long time but I can slolly work on little stuff like this.

I instaled a turbo header on my turbo tempo was supposed to be direct bolt on but I
had to mod it here and there but nothing a hammer and a die grinders could not fix.

I made my self some header bolts took some hallen 10mm 1.5mm by 1" long bolts
and modded them to fit. was a bit longer then expected but all looks good and tight.

so here are a few pics.

Cool, good to see this project hasn't fallen through the cracks
when I saw teh thread back up I was hoping it was an update and not somebody asking if its still running.

Well just a little update nothing much just some parts I ordered for the tune-up and a intake gasket kit started to instal the turbo back on but its a bit hard for my arms so I took a break from that and I'M working on cleaning the intake its filthy. I will clean it up and pain it new I don't know what color to go red,yellow,black, or white to match the car.
so here are some pics.

I still need to change the hour on my turbo to make it perfect but that will have to wait for a good day with no pain or numness.

Ok this part for me is the most important. it may not look much too yuo but for me it was the hardest part to get.
I had to sell lots of stuff I liked and loved to buy this.

But I was tyred of working with 1/2 hack wirering kits that was missing plugs and had cut wires and so on,
now with this I know I can tune it perfectly and if I have a small hick up the chance that its the wirering is very low.

Was new in the box here it is my car guy porn. Made for LA3

I was going to say noise but for car guys there is no sutch thing has a tuned exause that makes noise its all about a nice sound.

Just a teaser.

Tools needed.

Pain,scraper,brake cleaner,toot brush,time,and a very powerful presure washer.

the intake on this engine were so filthy it was unreal for a time I was sure I could not wash them clean enuff to pain them but after over 10 hours of cleaning and detailing
I got them all cleaned up and painted. took me over 3 days, a few hours a day.

let me tell you this if you have a crudy intake or car parts that has inches of dirt crud and oil of over 20 years on it ,well a presure washer will do a fine job at taking 90% of it off. well worth knocking on your friends door and going hey bud you lend me your presure washer ? so here it is.

Metro mon but pour 2011 est 260hp pis dans le 13Sec sur le 1/4 de mile.

en 2012 325hp dans le 12.

2013 hp?? dans le 11sec.

mon but lomp term est rouler a 11.99sec sur le 1/4 de mile 3 pass dans un soirer
mes sa serais pas pour quel que anner.
 
I will be detailing the writing on the intake. /later
I will be detailing the engine bay more like painted bolts and brakets after
all my tuning and set up is done , but keep ideas coming. I need to get thing running and
tuned the rest can wait I'M not usaly big on eye candy but this car is well worth it .
it will be a car I can do many thing with.

Drag racing 1/8 1/4
Road Racing / time attack
car shows / car expo
and maybe someday make it street legal.
the 2.3T is the best swap for this car. will give me more power then this body can take.
I will need to re inforse the frame in the front , its look like the weakest link.

I will have more pics later tonight maybe even make a video so you can ear my french accent.
