How much you spent on mods/aftermarket parts?

On your current car? My gf tells me that I'm spending too much lol since I'm at University and work part time only.

List important mods if you want! REGULAR MAINTENANCE DOESNT COUNT!

Me: around 2000$ since I got the car 5 month ago but more to come next year:p

Tein springs: 200$
KYB gr2: 350$
18" TSW kyalamis: 600$
Rear ES300 bbk: 225$
Custom made muffler + Y-pipe: 200$
TWM short shifter+ ultra heavy TWM knob: 100$
ngk spark plug wires: 60$
2-way alarm system+remote starter: 150$
 
I've spent about 10,000$ in 3 years on my 240SX while I was at school and working. Thankfully I was living at my mom's. Since I moved out 13 months ago, I've spent like 1000$.
 
250$ on my SMIC
120$ on my air intake
200$ on my downpipe
500$ on my quick steering pinion
400$ for an extra set of wheels

some money for decent brakes tires and eventually poly engine mount inserts and bushings.
And a new engine, but that's just fixing broken stuff. Dunno if I'm gonna put the same as before or the 94+ (then it would be considered as a mod somewhat).
My next car will remain almost stock (for power at least).

The Car : 2006 Nissan 350z turbo ( 450whpPowerlab single turbo kit @10,7psi )

In the 4 last months(after buying the car ) :

1 Set of Works wheels (mint cond)+ mint brigestones at jdm shop : 1200$
Wildwood big brake kit (4PF,4PB, Huge discs(need18'')+SSlines) : 2000$
1 Set of Weds Kranze Bazreia 19X9.5&19X10,5 ( on the way home ) : 3030$
Junction Produce neck pillows : 105$
Junction Produce Cup holder : 80$

That makes 6415$ LOLL

And I Can't Wait to Order my Ksport Air Supension setup :p (another 3200$..)
 
To get her ready for the summer...hmmm roughly around 5500$ in mods. (wheels, coilovers, grills, tailights, tints, etc..)
 
recently i got into a maintenance kick.. i realized that just doing maintenance will get you better performance + gas milage than some mods..

But still quite alot, id like to do my windshield soon, and downpipe ( because its leaking, + ill go 3" at the same time)
 
Depends of what we call maintenance. By example poly bushing/engine mount inserts.
They replace the oem used ones, but we could live without them, so mod or maintenance?
Same for good tires and brakes over cheap/oem quality.
 
2002 civic
(all prices are more or less rough estimates)
Sub(x2), amp, head unit = 1100$
Tints (x2) = 300$
Hid kit(x3) = 850$
Springs = 400$
Shocks = 350$
2005 Cluster = 100$
Rims + Tires it came with = 300$
Muffler = 200$
SRI = 450$
Used turbo kit = 3000$(excluding price of install + tuning)


Puts me at ~7050$

From 2005 - 2008. Haven't rly modded the car since

0. i don't buy that need mods anymore.

But after driving my brother's 04 mini cooper s i want to get back to modding :)
 
I test drove a cooper s recently and I was disapointed. The Honda fit feels as much nimble and stiff...

Except for wheels and suspension, where did all the money go?
it still has the stock engine too no?
 
I've spent around 3000$ on both cars i currently own, thank god you didnt ask about previous cars cuz i spent a shitload on my ex mk2 vr6 :D
 
Headunit: 300$
Various dings and bells: 100$
Coilovers: 1100$
Wheels: 1100$

Puts me just over 2.5k
EDIT: Gf helps me pay for it though

It's just a cruiser though, so nothing on the engine.
