And also a shout out to all the retard mechanics that use air tools to put the wheel nuts/studs back on the car until they can't turn anymore. GO TO SCHOOL. Learn what you're doing wrong.

Fucking douchebags, I get wheels that require a 4 foot breaker bar and the car running with brakes on not to move all the time. What if the owner of the car gets a flat? try getting that off with a shitty spare tool!

fucking idiots.

Most of the time ppl go to cantire and walmart and they overtighten like you wouldnt believe. Where i was working this summer 1 car i worked on the garage that worked previously on the car they over tightened the lady's lock nut, they screwed up her key and the worst thing is since they screwed the key before putting all the other ones back on the other lock nuts were all loose. If you want to know what is the biggest pita job its removing an overtight F#$ked up lock nut.

X2 to all the bozos who overtighten

That's why you leave the lock nuts a bit loose compared to the others.
The #1 thing you want to avoid is making the customer unhappy, and this includes when they get a flat. Make sure they know where their lock key is (hand it to them after installing) and never tighten too much. make sure their spare isn't flat, and grind down the studs if need be.

This is why we always have happy customers.

LOL i took them off with my bare hand with no key lol

Sorry didnt read what i wrote in the previous post it wasnt my garage that opvertightened it was the garage that did the work previously before she brought it to us

I used to tie mines up by standing on the spare wrench (not jumping) and now I understand that even that is too hard. I don't have a torque wrench, but you'd be amazed how tightly you can do it only by following the star sequence and barely forcing it at all.

when I had to change my wheels before I sold my car, I couldnt even remove the nuts on one of my wheels with my 400ftpd impact wrench because my mechanic used an impact wrench with something superior in torque to put em on. I had to take out a solid wrench and jump on it several times JUST so it can start budging.
