World Motor Sport Council (WMSC) has announced that in 2013 F1 car will have to downgrade to 1.6L four cylinder engine from the 2.4L V8s. The new engines are suppose to use 35% less fuel, but, at the same time keep the same level of performance. Also the Rev limits on the new engines will be reduced from the current 18,000 rpm to a maximum of 12,000 rpm. In addition to all that in 2013 drivers can only use 5 engines a season instead of 8.
