NY's Brilliant Snow Removal

it was reported as a hit and run, i payed no deductible and my insurance still went down the year after. i was pretty lucky though, nothing else but the fender got touched.

I'm seriously scared to park my car downtown during snow removal now. I've always been paranoid, but I kept telling myself that no snowplow is going to crash into my car. Now... fuck, I'll have to re-think this entire parking situation lol.
 
bah if theres one thing i know about driving a car in montreal is that it is 100% impossible to keep a daily driver clean in this city. so i don't even try anymore, I've always had run-ins with idiots on the road, in parking lots, in random places in all of my cars. now i don't care anymore about the aesthetic condition of my cars.
 
i had just gotten my car integra freshly detailed... 2 days later, i go to the casino, park next to a brand new minivan and the wall on the other. Ample room for anyone with half a brain. I came back to find my car with a 3 inch gash on my front bumper exactly where the corner of the door of the minivan would touch if it opened all the way.. and hard. needed a new bumper since the bumper was actually sliced thru.

one other time, on sources, i was waiting at a red light in my mr2 @ salaberry. there's a small pickup in front of me like a Ford ranger. i see his brake lights come off and he's rolling backwards. i honk my horn literally a billion times... he bumps into me. i rage. luckily there was no damage.

another time an advertising panel fell off a city bus(216 to be exact) on the highway @ st jean and sideswiped my integra. roughly $350 in damage to repair... I settled with the STM directly for $600. but still, i'd much rather not have to bothered.

That fucken sucks...

It's because some people don't care that they think nobody else cares. Truth is, you not giving a shit about your car doesnt not mean you can leave "just a scratch" on someone else's. I wonder what kind of car the snowplow driver has... :2up:
