Hard drive advice and maybe a good deal inside

If its 7200RPM, then looks like a good deal!

I paid something like $100 for a 1TB caviar black about 7-8 months ago. It was however bought at a local store.
 
I bought the 2tb version a few weeks ago. Everything is good so far. Its fast and very quiet. They're good for the price
 
Oui, c'est un bon deal. Les HDD Western Digital c'est des tres bon HDD en passant ! Je n'achete rien que ca depuis qu'un maxtor pas peter dans la face ca fait p-t 6-7 ans...

sur 5 greens que j'ai eu, j'en ai 4 qui m'ont laché en 2 ans
 
Thinking of getting a Blue instead this thing is super slow at 5000RPM. For sure will suck

talking of hard drives, i don't want to make a thread about it, i have 2 hard drives, 1 for windows/applications/etc. and the other for storage. sometimes when i launch an application, i hear the hard drive start spinning, like it was idle, and it take a few seconds for the application/thing to open, is it dying?

damn tu fais quoi avec tes HDD?
j'ai un 2tb Green pour du storage et il endure de la vibration d'un subwoofer de 12" collé dessus
 
Je les avais pris parce que yétait pas trop cher, et je les utilisait pour tout (storage, OS, tout)

Si je m'était pas fait des raids, j'aurais tout perdu...

No, it's normal. some model are louder than other.

For your hard drive, ncix have the seagate green 2T for 69.99$. bestDirect have the WD Caviar black 1T 64mb buffer (wich is lot more faster) for 69.79$ perso, i just bought a new ( kikass) setup, and i go for 1 wd black 1T.
