multiplication or division doesnt matter which comes firts...nor does add or substract........as long as multiply/division comes before add/minus............BUT LIKE I SAID BRACKETS COMES FIRST!...AS LONG AS THERE IS A BRACKET YOU HAVE TO SOLVE THAT! THEN U WORK THE REST!

You solve what is inside the bracket. Once you have done that you continue doing the rest. You are still doing a multiplication, but there is a division on the left that needs to be done first.

(12) = 12

u mad ur wrong bro?

48/2(9+3)

I can't believe you guys who say it's 2.
How long has it been since your last math class?

1st- There is no order between multiplication and division. They have EQUAL priority. Therefore, you need to go from left to right, so you do wichever comes first.

2nd-The parantheses only mean that whatever is inside them has Priority. This is why sometimes you see equations like these (example): 4x[5x(6+1)]+1.

So let's get to it.

1st you need to do 9+3, wich equals 12. As soon as you have done this, the parantheses disappear. If there is no symbol in front of the parantheses, by default it's a multiplication. You could've had this for example: 48/2+(9+3), so it wouldn't have been the same thing. So, what is left is:

48/2x12

Now like I said before, divisions and multiplications have the same priority. They are equals. The only way to prioritize one of them is by going left to right, so the division has priority in this case.

48/2 = 24.

So what's left is this:

24x12.

24x12=288.

2(12) is the same as writing 2*12.. the bracket was already solved.. it was 12.. that means there's no more bracket

WRONG , the correct term is not BEDMAS......ITS BOEDMAS......BO FOR BRACKETS OMITTED!....that means brackets must be omitted....just beacause you solve what is in the bracket does not mean the brackets are omitted!

LMAO...Where do you get this?

Nous les programmeurs avons aucune difficulté avec ça.

Mais j'écrirais ça (48÷2)*(9+3) au cas où que des mongols regardent le code.
