Voila la troisième partie de notre véhicule projet commandité par Honda Centre Ville. Comme vous l'avez vu, le Fast Hayaku a remporté le concours. La plus petite taille disponible pour cette jante était de 18 "qui était exactement ce que nous voulions. Avant d'aller au Fast Wheels pour l'installation, nous avions besoin de notre suspension installé.
Des coilovers complet sont idéales car elles peuvent être ajustées exactement à la bonne hauteur mais notre budget ne permettrait pas pour eux. Nous avons décidé d'aller avec un kit Eibach Sportline qui abaisse la voiture en utilisant des ressorts plus courts combiné avec vos amortisseurs d'origine (dans cette application un total de 1.4"). L'équipe Perry Performance ont été très attentif à tous les aspects techniques. On été correctement averti que l'utilisation de ressorts pour abaisser la voiture serait de raccourcir la durée de vie de nos chocs et de plus que 1.4" ne serait pas recommandée. Eventuellement, nous aurons besoin d'un ensemble de chocs performance mais pour l'instant les ressorts sera correct pour une utilisation sur la rue.
Une fois les ressorts ont été obtenus, Jeremy est allé à AvFab (www.avfabrication.com) pour l'installation. Leur service amical et professionnel a été rafraîchissante et bien que le travail a été ralenti par un bearing du plaque supérieure (top plate) cassée, ils l'ont reconstruite sur place et nous a sorti à temps pour faire de notre rendez-vous chez Fast.
Depuis la voiture a été abaissé que de 1.4 ", Fast Wheels a mis des roues 18x9 +35 (offest) avec Falken Azenis PT722 225/40/18. Ca donne un look assez "stretch" que nous voulons.

This is the third installment of our project vehicle sponsored by Honda Centre Ville. As you probably saw, the Fast Hayaku won our vote. The smallest size available for this rim was 18" which was exactly what we wanted. Before heading to the Fast Wheels head office for the installation we first needed our suspension installed.
While full coilovers are ideal because they can be adjusted to exactly the right height, our budget wouldn't allow for them. We decided to go with a simple Eibach Sportline kit that lowers the car using shorter springs combined with your stock shocks (in this application a total of 1.4"). The team at Perry Performance and Competition were more than helpful with all the technical aspects. We were properly warned that using only springs to lower the car would shorten the lifespan of our shocks and any lower than 1.4" wouldn't be recommended. Eventually we will need a set of aftermarket shocks but for now the springs will be fine for street use.
Once the springs were in hand, Jeremy headed to AvFab (www.avfabrication.com) for the install. Their friendly and professional service was refreshing and although the job was hampered by a broken top plate bearing, they rebuilt it on the spot and got us out on time to make our appointment at Fast.
We weren't sure which size tires we were going to end up with but the specialists as Fast Wheels fixed us up with a nice looking fitment that was just right. Since the car was only lowered 1.4" 18x9 wheels with +35 offset wrapped in Falken Azenis AZENIS PT722 A/S 225/40/18 tires fit and gave a decent stretched look which is what we were aiming for.
