Hey guys, new car is on the way so this one has become useless.
1998 Golf
Automatic
167 777km
Power doors
Hand powered windows
The pluses:
-Engine is A1
-Oil is changed on schedule
-Comes with a kenwood stereo (model is KDC-MP142: http://www.techcrazy.net/Kenwood-KDC-MP142-p/KenwoodKDC-MP142.htm) it's nothing crazy as I'm sensitive to loud noise but it does a fine job
-Comes with 4 JBL GT5-625 speakers (http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/jbl-gt5-652.html)
-Comes with stock mags (star / 5 spoke) and summer tires (which will finish the season)
-Comes with 4 winter tires (good for another season) on steel rims
-Car has an alarm
-Wiper on the back window is broken, however due to this, the nozzle for the windshield washer is exposed and can be used to spray vehicles tailgating you. I'm not shitting you, the thing squirts a decent 10 feet and is hilarious.
The minuses:
-Cracked windshield
-Body is rusting and is missing those plastic molds on the side
-Shocks are wearing down but will last until the end of summer possibly fall
-Trunk/hatch door intermittently stops opening and the key whole isn't lined with the door so you can only open it from inside the car
-Never connected the stereo to the radio as I hate our stations but the adapter is like 5 dollars at Best Buy.
Car runs and starts fine. It's nothing beautiful but it was my first car and it does the job.
Oh I'll also throw in a fake ipod touch with an auxiliary cable for the stereo. What's a fake ipod touch? It's pretty much this http://techcrunch.com/2007/12/11/tiny-fake-ipod-touch-for-109/ I think it has 2 or 4gb but I'm not sure.
