Help me deal with an annoying colleague

I have been working in that place for 2 month, and one month ago they hired that arab guy.
I don't like his personality. He always keeps bragging about stuff, everytime we speak about something he says 'I've done that' or 'I know that'. Most of the time he is lying.
He also keeps complaining all the time about the company and about work. We work in a open space so I have to listen to this phaggot the whole day. He keeps making sexual jokes and talks all the time. I do that myself with other colleagues (we joke a lot), but i know there is a time for that and some limits.
He also keeps bugging me with stupid questions everytime even when I'm working on something critical.

Now the worst part.
He was assigned to a project that was supposed to be completed in a month. I looked at it and gave him an idea that would resolve the problem in 2 days max. He then takes all the credit and acts like it was his idea. Last week, he spent all the week trying to fix a problem. I had a look at it and fixed it in 1 hour and still the phaggot took all the credit.

When I'm talking to my boss about stuff I'm doing or stuff to improve the company processes, he always comes in and adds his 2 cents. It would be ok if it was really HIS 2 cents, but he keeps stealing MY ideas to brag about himself and make him look smart.

He always come to my desk to ask about what I'm doing and why I'm still doing this. FUck you phaggot, it's none of your business. For example there was a problem that was fixed by itself and I was investigating it because I don't believe in magic. He tells me there is no need to look at it since it's working now. Well fuck you phaggot.

Also, when he runs out of work, this phaggot complains there is nothing to do and starts annoying me, when I still have work to do.

It's like it's all university again. I remember when I had arabs in my team for some group projects, they were complaining all the time, did very few work and made sure to steal most of the credit at the end.

Grow some balls and do something about it...complaining on montrealracing ain't going to do much...

When he says "I've done that"...Tell him to stop changing the subject to be about him.

And from the way you're describing it, he sounds high at work.

I wanna progress in this company and teamwork is an import quality if I want to go anywhere far.
I also don't want to sound like a bitch or involve the HR.

I'm simply a hard working, honest, loyal, guy, I dont want any problems with anyone.
 
be striaght and make him uncomfortable thats all. Point out all his lying or taking credit and eventually he'll stop.

I had one dude telling me he had a 960whp camaro. Started asking him about what he had blablabla and eventually he choked. I called him out to come race his "900hp beast" against my 400whp sh*tbox and he kept quiet lol.

eventually once you keep calling im out on everything, he'll stop.

life is not that simple...Part of going up in a company is learning how to deal with challenges..including annoying co-workers...You'll never be with people you like 100% but you have to work your way around that.

i tried to hint him by saying stuff like, yeah we know you've done all that in a sarcastic way but he doesnt get it. He's the type of guy to never be serious.
And I'm not saying I'm stuck up or anything, I can take a joke, but I know there is a time to be serious.

The problem is that he never takes credit of that in front of me. He waits to be alone with the boss and then tells him all the stuff. Fucking double faced backstabbing phaggot.

well something similar happened to my mom a few years back. She happened to be a a head pattern maker and had an important posistion in a company so some other work collegue was constantly jealous and couldnt stop talking sh*t to everyone about my mom. After one point my mom got so fed up one day, the first thing she did coming into teh company in the morning is go see her boss, give him sh*t about how this collegue is being a b*tch(haha), see the collegue, give her sh*t in front of everyone and that lady left early that day crying, the boss was in shock and no one f*cked around with my mom afterwards.

she was like:

afterwards and things were okay after that. The work collegue even came afterwards to tell her shes sorry.
 
Have a seat with him read him or tell him exactly what you just said

Tell him you wanna work in a team not in a small tower wars company and that he really needs to cut the bullshit and take credit over you, and tell him that if he doesnt... Your collaboration is done. Also make sure you take some time on your work time and also advise your boss your planning an appointment with him but dont tell him why just say its to help the teamwork in the team

1. Makes you look good
2. Makes you look like a man of action
3. He cannot pull out from it or twist it to its advantage l
4. Puts him in a corner where he can only improve and behave or bitch like a kid and show his true nature
5. Makes you look really sharp and pro in front of ur boss

Il y a des spécialistes en la matière qui prennent tout le crédit lorsque les affaires fonctionnent bien et qui ne se sentent pas concernés lorsque ça fonctionne tout croche. C'est comme ça partout malheureusement.

Ne te laisses pas abattre par ça et remets le a sa place. C'est plate à devoir en arriver là, mais si il vole tes idées et mens a ton boss pour bien paraître à ton détriment, arrêtes de l'aider et de lui faire part de tes idées.

If he don't stop, buy him some nice suitcases and 2 plane ticket to Washington. Hide 20-25lbs of ammonium nitrate in the suitcases you gave him. He won't bother you anymore.

Been there. I completely cut him off, not even a "good morning", not one word till I left the company 5 years later. He did try getting to me by trying to start up a conversation, later on he started calling me childish, then he just got frustrated because I never gave him a chance to go on by responding. Went through every single day like he was not even there. I loved it.

Don't give him any more ideas. But definitely don't give him any bad ideas either, he'll make sure to blame you for those.
When he starts wasting your time with stupid jokes or bragging, cut him off politely but firmly. Don't be too rude or he may rat you out to HR instead.
If you have ideas that would improve his work, keep them to yourself and when you have a 1:1 meeting with your boss tell him about the idea.

BTW: If the loser keeps complaining that he doesn't have enough work to do, he may find himself laid off if the boss ever overhears that.

I have a colleague a lot like yours: he's never serious, always makes inappropriate jokes, talks A LOT, always comes by to make small talk no matter how busy you are. And even when he comes over to ask a work-related question he digresses so much that when he stops talking 20 min later you have no fuckin' idea what the heck he wanted in the first place. I've learned to tell him that I don't have time and that i'll go talk to him after i finish my current task (and then I never go, lol), or I simply let him talk and focus on my work. Eventually he realizes i'm not listening and leaves. :)
