Because we have all the jobs, the better bars, better stores, better restaurants, better houses, better condos, etc

Jobs: If you go north of saint-Jerome, all the jobs are in remote places where everyone has a low iq, drives a pickup, drinks coors light and does drugs.

Those bars sound awful

Stores: you want fashionable clothes or leftovers from sweatshops?

Restaurants: the original of those restaurants are in Montreal

Any recent house in the Montreal suburbs is a cardboard closet a foot away from your neighbour's cardboard closet

I rather have a quality soundproof condo with a great view on the 15th floor then those 3 story condo buildings they are building near dix30 where you hear your neighbour's and have to park outside like a sucker

It's people like you who make everyone from the city look bad. You think you're so much better because you live in ohhh-Montreal. Seriously, get your head outta there.....

Instead of making this a 450 and 514 debate, why not tell the truth, the government is so fucking corrupt they just run those things so they can take out money from our taxes and shove it in their pockets and their friends.

Stop the illusion, we need to stop these fuckers, they know no bounds.

Why do you make every thread into a 450, 514 debate. In all honesty both are pretty disgusting. 450 is become a shit feast of Condos over condos over condos filled with the lower middle class that use to rent. They look like shit and your stuck with it once you buy it. Plus, I saw them buying built cartboard crap with bunch of cheap designs copy pasta everywhere.

The contractors have money invested in a few politicians and they change all the zoning to accommodate them, just like on Rolland Therrien, cutting down beautiful forests to put up ugly ass condos.

As for houses on the South Shore, you can't find new developments because the economy is tanking and no one can afford 70k deposit on a 350k house.
So what do you have? MORE FUCKING CUNT CONDOS!!!!

Quebec is more and more a crusting pus pool of run away government spending and useless programs on top of endless taxes. The more things crust up, the harder it will be to take it back. The only thing positive is that people are turning the corner and stepping in the pus dirtying their boots and noticing that something must be done before we wake up homeless.

No, it's compartmentalized. The guy on the street doesn't know exactly what's going on. He just is told to shut the left lane on the 720. The construction company comes in, carves up the road, pretends to fix it, then come back the next year to do the job.
Money on the way up, money on the way down.
Just like bixi, perfect scam. Money on the way up getting government contracts, money on the way down getting bailed up. Money is what the everyone in government wants, control is what the people behind these governments want.

Sad, but true.

The people at the bottom (the honest workers who just try to make a living) are not to blame, even though it's easy to hate on them sometimes.
