Rules for X-Plate

today boss told us that nobody besides management can use x plates after 9pm or weekends. he was told that using one now will be an 800$ personal fine and towing of the vehicle.

I have no idea what happened, this is out of the blue since nobody besides managers use x plate 24/7.

SAAQ says: http://www.saaq.gouv.qc.ca/immatriculation/categories/plaques_amovibles.php

But in reality, a police officer can give you a hard time, especially during the week end. I have never had issues with this before, but am aware that some cops in Laval are cracking down on them.
:dunno:
Pretty much everywhere not only in Laval.
I do see a lot of X-plated cars everywhere. Expensive and not expensive.
@ggti...you are comparing personal / enterprise. If a car has an x-plate and is a "dealer car" than it should be F plated. So X plate or F plate...is pretty much the same amount in terms of yearly costs for registration.

It you own a garage and meet certain criteria you can apply for an x plate for road tests, transport etc .

You should always have the paper work with the car as well just incase you get pulled over. It's a 150$ fine for having it bolted to the car

The hell?? Where did it say this? I've seen tons of people driving with X's bolted to their cars. I myself bolt it to my cars and never had an issue...Do you have a source for this?

i have x plate for two years now on my car, it's on my name (not company, not dealer or anything) saaq just gave me like this. Have been puled over, never had an issue also

I guess it's the same x plate you talking about, mine just have space in the middle
