Senna V12 Mc Laren

the choice to run a manual gearbox(last manual trans f1 car to win the wdc) is what made the car reliable compared to the Williams FW14 that ran a semi-auto, active suspension etc. 1991 was a test and tune for Williams. In 1992 they basically had the title won pre season with Mansell and the FW14B.
 
I miss those F1 days where drivers had balls and settled their differences on the track. Cars had special qualifying engines with maximum boost, qualifying tires and one lap wonders. Engineers and designers had more technical freedom.
