Can't edit post older than 1 day?

^^^^Title. ''Edit Post'' button disappears after 1 days? (Can edit post made today-yesterday, but can't for those made before that)

Is this new or am I crazy?
 
It's been like this for a while since some problem users decided they wanted to harm the website by purging their old threads.
 
hmm, would it be possible to keep the edit function in Sale sections? For example, to lower the price, or update when certain items have been sold?
