I spent 2 weeks with an S3 and that was my initial feeling, but quickly realized that transmission/engine combo is beyond perfect and better than a manual box could ever be.
does a S3 uses DSG gearbox or something else?

S3's are sitting around dealers... they are having trouble selling them.

There is nothing to enlighten... yes the dsg is quicker but the feeling of dropping the clutch and rev launch it still makes it fun
And in Summer, the last thing you wanna do with an AWD car is to drop the clutch at 4000rpm.
I am surprised that the Golf is faster on the track, better in the streets and 1000x better built. No to mention the styling. And for the same price.
