My rule book says we can run whatever tire size we wish as long as they fit under the fender and dont hit suspension.. We try to run the largest we can as to maximize contact patch and clears the brakes.. Yes we are running low ride heights but we are also using height adjustable tie rods etc. Some of these "alignments" people get for fitment are scary as hell. We don't run that much negative camber or wacky amounts of toe just to get wheels to fit on our racecars... Ultra Slammed car with suspension already out of geometry, wacky alignment and stretched setup= No handling
Looking at those japanese cars above, they seem to be setup rather well minus that 458 which has never seen a track except for a photoshoot. F458 challenge cars run wheels that JUST clear the brake setup.
