Knife vs Hammer: Who wins?

What's funny is that most people are under the impression that they will land a hit with the hammer that will count, or manage to stab or slice with the knife one shot. Unless it's completely unexpected, your chances to connect are low. I would go with the knife just because of it's versatility over a hammer.
 
Why a 4" knife? Make it even in terms of reach and change it to an 8" kitchen/chef knife.

I'm the minister of common sense. Watch the video below. A hammer needs more force to be effective, alot more, and the movement is harder to disguise, it's not very versatile. There's more to it but im sure you can do the math.

definitely knives. You still need a certain amount of velocity to make a hammer lethal and it can be disarmed much easier than a knife. You can either slash or thrust with a knife and since its lighter, you can attack much quicker.

This tho, on another level:
 
I did lots of Krav Maga and I would destroy any one of you attacking with a hammer... A knife is different, if the person knows what they are doing and will actually stab you, you need to be extremely alert... and that is no easy task

Marteau faut tu te prenne un elan pas mal. Je sais pas si le video existe encore mais me rappelle avoir vu 2guy1hammer v'la ben des années (vous suggère pas de regarder sa c'est gore en sacrament)

Lol even if the guy doesn't really know what he is doing, the reality is YOU WILL get stabbed. It's "just" a matter of being able to control the opponent before he stabs you at too many places or at critical places. Pretty much every self defence class teaches you that you have to be minded and accept that you will get stabed somehow, just do your best to keep your distance from it.
 
le couteau et asser facilement.

un marteau ca prend une ''bonne swing'' pour etre efficasse.

Si l'autre gars est habile et peut escivé ton 1e swing il à le temps de te piqué 3-4 fois facile avant que toi tu ait le temps de ''reswingé'' ton marteau une 2e fois.

Le marteau est plus léthal mais moins maniable.

pour quelqun qui s'est jamais batu VS quelque du meme calibre le marteau va gagné. mais si tu prend quelque qui sais moindrement esquivé les coups le marteau perd.

Couteau x 1000 et je comprends même pas pourquoi quelqu'un dirait marteau.

C'est très simple avec un couteau, tu t'en vas corps à corps avec ton adversaire. T'essaieras de smasher ton adversaire avec ton marteau quand t'es collé dessus.
