Just a few more years until he is in F1.. I'm willing to bet Mercedes has some sort of hand in this and dad has the money to make it happen

Newly signed to a development role with Williams, Stroll first caught our attention over five years ago when he was signed to Ferrari's young driver development program. He made headlines when he faced off against Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa in a karting race – and beat one of them. He's since been climbing up the formula racing ladder under Maranello's patronage, winning the Italian Formula 4 Championship last year and competing in the FIA European Formula 3 Championship this season. There he formed part of a controversially unprofessional field that forced organizers to call off the race at Monza earlier this year. He also won the title in the Toyota Racing Series down in New Zealand this year.

J'ai fait un événement de karting avec Alex Tagliani ce week end et on parlait justement de lui. Ils l'ont approché pour coacher le jeune.

Il a refusé, parait qu'il a la meme mentalité que son père, il arrivait aux courses avec un 18 roues, une 10e de moteur et un crew.

Il va probablent se rendre loin because money, mais des qu'il va rencontrer de l adversité il va abandonner.
 
I don't see a problem with arriving to the track with the proper support to make the test go smoothly. What should he have rolled up with a Chevy Astro and a car in pieces? There are F1600 teams that have 10 crew, spares galore and an 18 wheeler. You get to a level where there is serious money behind you. If he get's an F1 ride(He will) and can bring millions of euros to the team he will stay even if he's a Crashtor Maldonaldo. He also has the proper contacts in the right places.

How do you think Verstappen got a ride so quickly?

Je te parle quand il était en Kart ou la majorité du monde on un pick-up et un trailer. C'est sur que quand t'arrive avec les moyens illimités et l'attitude de star tu t'attires certaines critiques. Il ont fini par payer un coach genre 200 000$ par année pour le coacher et configurer ses affaires.

There are a few people in the ECKC series etc, that have wealth and show up with 18 wheelers full of equipment and many different engines to test. Lewis showed up with McLaren 18 wheelers after being sponsored.

Some of the guys i race in an indoor league with know Lance & have said many people don't like him. He got an even harder time from other karters after his dad paid for him to join the Ferrari Driver Academy. He prob just does really have a douche attitude but I don't know him at all.
 
Je l'ai vue courser en kart et c'est vrai l'histoire des 18 roues et etc. Je pense aussi que monde l'aimait pas parce qu'il se genait pas pour rentrer dans tous les autres courseurs vu son budget illimité...

Yea even karting has become serious business because you can actually make it big in racing before 20 years old..
 
C'était pas lui qui ne se présentait pas à la cérémonie de podium à moins d'avoir remporté la course? 2e, 3e... il n'allait pas chercher son "minable" trophée. Ça c'est le syndrome de l'enfant-roi.
 
Je l’es pris en photo aussi a Tremblant pendant la coupe Montréal de Karting, je dois avouez que sont Teams étais assez gros, genre de set-up ou tu as trois mécano qui travail sur 3 Kart en même temps pour avoir le meilleur kart!.
Mais bon tu as de l'argent pourquoi pas en profiter.
Regardez ces photos la date de 2010 et il étais déjà affilié avec Ferrari!.

c'est sur qu'il étais deja avec Ferrari . Sont père a payer pour qu'il soit la et en plus il est proprio de Ferrari Montreal ...

Je suis même surpris qu'il soit rendu avec williams
 
Tagliani qui trouve que Stroll est un peu princesse, crime ça doit pas être drôle...
 
Michael Schumacher's son is also a rising star but he's been known to be involved in many race incidents...Will be interesting to see which of the two makes it big.

No way this kid Stroll joins Ferrari as a rookie, he will need to show his worth in other teams before hand.

Another good year by Verstappen at Toro Rosso (who will run Ferrari engines next year), and he will be Vettel's team mate at Ferrari in 2017.
 
The question is, is he fast?

My nephew raced against him in karts, and Lance was an OK kid, and he was damn fast.

Who gives a shit if he is hard to get along with? In racing, you are as good as your last race. No points given for charity work.

But his place at Williams is pretty safe, for now...

Good for him, he shouldn't be penalized due to his father's wealth. The wealth will only get him so far. He can be the richest guy in the world but if he comes in last on every race...

In F3 this year he kicked ass, regardless of money or not, a top 5 finish in that championship is outstanding. When the top 20 cars were 0.9 second appart in Hockenheim for example...

Then he won the Toyota winter series last winter against many good european drivers like Calum Illot (F3 at Carlin and Red Bull Junior Team) and Brandon Maisano (Signature Lotus F1 junior team)

And he won Italian F4 last year.

This year in F3 he would qualify close to Felix Rosenqvist his team mate in every single race. Rosenqvist has been in F3 for 3 years...

Exactly he has F3 cred. I dont see why there is hate. He has talent honed from a young age
