All we need to know is that its a 2.0 turbo, with 200hp, 210 tq, and makes as much power as the 225hp 1.8T untill 5000 rpm.
 
Those are some nice details. They're going even more high tech, that's nice to see. That's a bizarro fuel rail setup, but one thing is for sure, this will probably be the most efficient gas engines VW ever made. (in terms of HP/L) ...
 
I can only see more maintenance issues in the near future.

I just don't understand why VAG changes their technology before even fixing the bugs in their older fleet.

anyways, 200hp for a 2.0 VS 180HP for a 1.8 doesn't seem like a dramatic improvement to me. Especially if it requires completely new engine designs with more parts to fail.

In fact, seems like pure stupidity. Why not have a AEG 2.0 block mated to a AEB head with a K04 from the factory. It bolts right up with proper pistons.

Wow...........I must be crazy.
