Best Place to Buy a Laptop?

Where's a good place to buy a laptop/notebook? I'm planning to buy one when I start University this fall. Please don't say Future Shop :p
 
go check out the dell website, they have some good deals on laptops !!! plus, their warranty coverage is by far the best
 
Just look around..there's alot of people selling some..i got mine with a MR members..good deal and works well...just look in section ''A vendre'' ''Autres''...im sure you'll find a good deal. Good Luck.
 
seriously my shit is all legal...u have 2 year warranty on er'thing u buy..i buy it from my own pocket and then sell it.. I don't steal anything... stealing is BAD!
 
My deals are not like 1000$ under their retail price but usually i can get them for maybe 100-200 less or even more... u know its not a big diff but its 200$ more in ur pocket..

haha I was just busting ur chops, I heard the markup for computers is kinda low anyways?
 
Check out what MicroBytes has. I dont think its the best place, but buying online would cost you extra since the shipping on laptops is around $100+
 
If you absolutely need a new laptop, Futureshop is the place to buy. You bring them a competitor's lower price and they'll beat it(careful, they are aggressive on selling you that extended warranty...lol). Sometimes, you can ask for goodies added for free if the laptop is not on sale, they can afford to do it if the profit margin is high enough.

Used laptops here can go around 1k for a P3 1Gig while you can get a fully equipped large screen XP2800 brand new at FS for 1.5k + tax with a warranty (example )...Don't take my word though, shop around is all i can tell ya.

i got the runaround from dell for a long long time. they sent me the wrong pc, and it didnt come with 2 slots so i can put a dvd and a burner. anyways the open slot was blocked off by the inside no way of takin it off without harming the computer. anyways they gave me the runaround for a good 6months, just telling me they'd get back to me etc etc etc. they just ended up sending me and external burner and a regular burner...and i already have one in the computer, so i dunno i just dropped it said **** it. other than that they were great.
