MAZDA RX-7 TT and RX-8 - i got a question

This is mainly doirected at people who own or have owned a RX7-TT or an RX-8, or whoever has experience with them.

How is gas consumtion on these cars?

I'm asking cuz i'm debating with a few friends and this guy owns an RX-8 and claims his takes 30l/100 kms in the city (driven more or less hard)and 18-19 on the highway (higher speeds, not 100-120).

I think this is pure BS! I know wankel engines don;t excel in gas consumtion, but not to this extent!
 
my friends sister has an rx8, you can push the car quite a bit and gas is awsome.... didnt think it would be very good, lasted a week with ruf driving :D
 
i have heard of a guy driving to quebec from mtl and putting 60$ of gas one way

i dont know if its rumour or true

i didnt believe him really i found it really weird
 
my friend had a rx-7 and it drank alot alot, wasnt tt so imagine... rx-8 i dont nkow

when i had my RX7 TT, i use to do around 300-350 with one tank and it cost me arount 40$ to fill it up with 94 octane.

lol where do u tank? a rx7 tt tank: Fuel Capacity 63litre - 13.9 gal

well an rx-7 TT does around 14l/100 km, mine was a little modfied. Once, while doing only city driving, i did 20l/100 km, that was only once though.

I am sure the rx-8 takes less gas than the RX-7 TT, 30l/100 km is bullshit or it's broken.
 
30L par 100 KM ? Un Excursion consomme même pas ça.... le plus haut dans les chars j'crois c'étais une Saleen S7 avec pas loin de 20 litres...


Si y consomme 30L au 100 km/h les injecteurs doivent pousser en criss du jus !

It's not that bad, his car must have something not working properly !

I was going to post that.

The rx8 burns like a liter every 1000 kms. A mazda mech told me this, owners are complaining about this everyday.

Un de mes amis avais une rx8 , il est partit de laval pour se rendre jusqu'a québec , il à du arreter en chemin parce qu'il étais entrain de manqué de gaz... Et il roulais pas en fou la , 115-120 comme tout le monde .
Donc meme pas 300 km avec 60 $ de gaz !

meme chose avec mon ami de montreal a quebec 60$ d`apres ce qu`il ma dit *banghead*
 
rx7-tt

i put 94 octane when i had mine,i was getting 400 klm to a tank city and hwy combined.Their is something wrong with your friends who's getting 30/l per 100.
