I can go even further into the 2jz swap bible now with the info I will pick up doing this swap in my car. Hopefully step by step, and completely.
As of now, my buddy Eric and I are 3 hours into prepping the engine for removal, its ready to come out at this moment, just missing the engine lift which should be in tomorrow, once I get that picked up it will be the beginning of a long but rewarding road. I'm going to try and get this running on my student budjet right now, if I can get the engine fired by spring, I will be happy.
The motor is a 2JZGTE (JDM) from a Toyota Aristo. I needed to purchase this engine keeping in mind that I needed a front sump oil pan to fit the sub-frame configuration of my car, so the aristo is the perfect candidate, the JZA80 Supra is mid or rear sump, meaning if you wanted to go that route you would need to convert the engine to front sump, with aristo parts, and that gets expensive and the bits can be hard to find if you dont know where to look. So Aristo it was.
