The majority of BMW's new line have this as their antennae. If you look on many 5-series pics, they're there as well.

I thought the GPS Antenna was located in the rear bumper and that the fin was for the cell phone.

Looks like i'm falling behind on the BMW technology ;)
 
I'm not a fan of the look of these car but that's a personnal opinion. But I do deplore the loss of the inline 6. The csl has 360hp. I'm sure with a slight bump in displacement and some more engineering they could have had 400hp with a modified version of the current I-6. Not so long ago m3 had I-4, m5 had I-6. Maybe I'm beeing too nostalgic but too me BMW is all about inlines. :( And did I read right! Automatic in the M5! What the hell is happening with the M division now. :(
