anywhere between 20 $ to 30 $
depending on where I end up and who is available

some members here do not even pay for oil changes, it's included in the price of the vehicle when purchased :eek: ( bastards )

60-70$ :cry: *banghead* Where do you go to pay that much. I do it myself and cost me 40$ with tax for Mobil1 syntech and filter. Next time come to my place and pay me and ill be glad to change your oil for 70$ *tu*
 
40$ of oil plus 6$ for the oil filter plus 14$ that goes to the dealership or whatever to pay there employee total 60$.

Venom by the way what do you do with the use oil and use filter?
 
I do it myself and it costs me around 80$. The filter for my car is only available through VW and it costs 35$, and I need 6 litres of Mobil 1 :cry:

That's crazy a suby filter is around 6-7$ what does it have so special and how come your car need so much oil, I know it's a V6 but still

I put the use oil in a big bucket and bring it at my work and the use it to oil the chainsaw....I work in a (cours a bois) so the guys need use oil, thats where the oil goes.

Before i was putting them in Folger coffee can and in thet garbage but one day the garbage man drop it and it spilled everywher *banghead* . But now im not doing this anymore
 
I pay $60 for an oil change with filter. They put in ester-based synthetic Motul 0w40. My oil is changed every 5000 KMs.
 
Mobil one on sale this week at cdn tire for 24.95 4 ltr jug !

me i don't bother changing oil myself any more,crawling on my back, running around with the used oil to get rid of it ... i'd much rather pay someone
to do this for me .....i pay 19.95 for the service at my buddies garage

or if i'm real lazy get it done for 28.95 at the dealer i work for ...

Yeah if you put regular oil it's not worth doing it youself.But with synthec I prefer to do it myself and save myself 20$ that i could use somewhere else also changing the oils takes 10 mins MAX for my car
 
I change my oil every 4000km. Costs me 40-50$. I use Mobil 1 5w30 or 10w30. Now I am going to try Castol Syntec 0w30.

Filters I buy in bulk

As for getting rid of the old oil I do two things, depends on my mood. I can dump my old oil back in the jug, then place that jug in a garbage bag and toss it out( they always take it) or just bring it to the back of crappy tire in Lasalle

Anyone here needs Amsoil oil? Extended oil drain intervals from amsoil saves you time and money in the long run. In stock for most applications.
