Took this pic this morning and it's not a photoshop. Until today I didn't think this was possible. Opinions?

There was a thread about this at VwVortex. Apparently the turbos aren't even functional, they are just there for show.

Um...........I read that thread, actually,t her guys there couldnt/wouldnt beleive it so they said it wasnt possible and said it was for show.........but they dont really know.......the only real way to find out is by aasking the owner.........it was only speculation on the tex
 
the only thing i know for sure is that this car have hydros... i saw a little demonstration at the car fever show this year :bigup:

#1 there's a LOT of bs on the 'tex.
#2 unless you see dyno slips, the owner could be bs'ing you too.

like yesterday: this guy claims to have a 125 nos kit in his elantra, that's Hyunday Elantra and that he could beat mr turbo vr6 Jérémie... right...

give me a dyno slip then i'll beleive what I see.
 
I think it is entirely possible from a mechanical point of view. I've never seen this particular car so I cannot comment if it works for real or anything but there is nothing that prevent you from putting 3 turbos on a car, except $$$ and maybe underhood space. Would sure make for a costly setup though!
 
WOW.....that's pretty amazing,but what the hell is the point of putting 3 TURBOS???? On a VR6 on top of it,i don't understand:dunno: I guess some people have so much cash they don't know what to do with it.
 
for a show car its great...for performance its a total waste. A well chosen single turbo setup would be less complicated and run as good, if not better. Those turbos are tiny.
 
That's one of the stupidest setups I've ever seen...Saab900t is right. What a waste of money...he should've spent it making the car driveable again (although it's pretty damn hot and unique). I saw a sequential tri-turbo setup on a Supra once, but even then, the first turbo was pretty useless. In theory, it could make sense, but in practicality I think it fails in terms of workability and what it actually gives. My .02
 
i wouldnt he need alot of space to fit 3 turbos?? how big is his intercooler??? he wouldbt be able to run 3 in there....that is weird...it must not work to well
 
I dunno, looks kinda cool and it seems pretty well done. And someone with a brain, a welder and some good tools doesn't need tons of $$$$ to build a car.

As to if it makes sense? Well, I can say one thing, it's unique and original.

Where did you take that pic Danny? St-Hyacinthe?
 
I think this car is awesome and original. A MK3 golf pickup on Airbags with a tripple turbo VR6? SICK!:eek:

The tread on the Vortex said that they were'nt hooked up cause in the pics at that time...they were'nt. But now everything seems to look like it's in place.

Hey...it could be a good setup. Who knows?? The only way to find out is to try.

I don't see why it won't be possible ! It might not be the best thing to do but It might not be impossible !

Si yen a 3 ça veux dire soit qu'ils sont en série, un après l'autre, ce qui est pas très utile selon-moi ! ou bien que chaqu'un fait fonctionner 2 cylindre.

there is something very weird on those pics , the set-up is amazing , but if he run the stock fuel injection this car is not fonctionnal .... THERE IS NO MASS AIR FLOW on the cold side just a 1 air filter .

if he run a stand alone fuel injection thats another story .
 
hehe...I'm happy you like it, I did't sleep a lot last week to finish it for the show and .....it work ;)
