MTQ: Can We Have A Million Of These For Our Shitty Roads?

It’s springtime and that means our already-awful roads are about to become much worse. Quebec’s transport ministry has already begun putting these portable signs on roads to inform drivers of the particularly bad areas.

I have to ask if we can’t do better as a province than to resort to putting up signs like these. Yes, we live in a unique climate in the St-Lawrence valley and yes it’s very difficult to nice roads but we should strive to raise the bar ever so slightly but upping the construction standards.

Of course, we need a new Champlain bridge, new Mercier bridge, new Île-aux-tortes bridge, new Turcot interchange and a million other things first so if I were to bet I’d say we’re going to be stuck with roads like this for the foreseeable future.
