Hey guyz... :p

Ive been in the www.montrealracing.com forum for a while now and they all told me to come here cause id get all the info i wanted!!!

Here's my story...
I live in Canada (Montreal) and i wanna buy myself a Corrado!!!

Im crazy about them and im ready to spend on a car i love so much cause i know its gonna become my baby!!!

Now here's wut ive gathered from my guyz...

Im gonna buy myself a 1992 Corrado G60...
Take out the supercharger!!!
And put in a turbocharger with 15 Psi of boost!!!

hahaha...do u realise how cool this will be!!!

Anywais i had a couple opf questions for u guyz and i hope u can all take 5 minutes and help me out.....

1. I wanna know how much its gonna cost me (about)

Ive calculated the car around 8 000$ (Can)
The turbo for about 4 000$ (Can)
And the setup around 2 000$ (still Can)

2. I wanna know wut kinda performance ill get from this set-up...

225 Hp???
250 Hp???
300 Hp???

And also how much torque i should end up with???

All question that are very important to me and id REALLY aprechiante it if u could TRY to answer them!!!

Thx guyz...i owe you...
Karim

Ps:Heres a pic of wut i want my cra to look like when im done... (Drool)

Their are way too many factors to be able to say exactly what your final HP/Torque will be.

You can get a rough idea by playing around with a turbo calculator.

www.turbofast.com.au/tfcalc.html

I believe the bore and stroke on the G60 are 81mm and 86.4mm respectively, so 3.19" and 3.4".

I'm not quite sure what to set the Engine VE to, anyone else know? I ran it twice, once @ 80% VE and once @ 65% VE. I set the intercooler to 75% effeciency (you are getting an intercooler, aren't you?) and the compressor to 70% effeciency.

Here are the results I got:

80% VE: 207HP, 181lb/ft torque @6000rpm
65% VE: 168HP, 147lb/ft torque @6000rpm

I'm assuming these are #s are at the flywheel...

Again this only gives you a rough idea... you won't really know until you take your car to the dyno.

Hope this helps.

btw - if any of you more experienced guys can correct my mistakes it would be much appreciated :D

thx man...i mean thats pretty impressive..!!!

Ill see if i cant make some cakculations myself!!!

i NEED IT TO BE MORE POWERFULL THAN THAT....!!!
Thats almost how it is stocK!!

Have any ideas???

Karim

Karim, where do you get $4000 for the turbo? If you pay that much Ill have to smack you! You dont need some fancy pants ball berring turbo, oil is fine....No more than like 1000-1200 for a rebuilt T3.

Man...this is why u guyz are here....

i know the basics...but get into the prices and im @#%$!!!

Somebody told me that taking out the supercharger...rebuffing the engine and adding the turbo would go for a bout 4 000$

Not true???

But im strting to thin of alternate solutions...for the engine that is!!!...

If u have any ideas feel free!!

Karim

Well yeah, if yer gonna redo the motor as well than yes, around 4k is right. I thought u were gonna spend 4k on just the turbo alone! What other engines were you thinking of using?

I dont wanna chnage the engine...

Just rebuff it...it is a 10 year old engine u know...

new pistons and @#%$ couldent hurt....right??

Fell free to correct me!!

Karim
