Indeed, today was a fantastic day of racing for the spectator, in Touring and in Echo Cup. Steph's comeback alone was worth the price of admission. After watching the boring parade that F1 has become on TV this morning, I was relieved to see that racing and passing still exist, and the entertainment is right in our back yard. When you watch local racing, you see the kinds of battles between competitors that you rarely get to see on TV. Frankly, I'm surprised there are not more fans that come out to watch the racing. You see some extremely well-prepared cars, some highly skilled drivers and alot of hard work paying off. I hope to see more spectators at the next event... I can't imagine anyone would regret coming out to see a show like this.
Congrats to the Rainman, who managed his race (and his equipment) perfectly until the very end, with a result that I don't think even he could have expected.
