I was wondering if you domestic owners find you get the respect that most Honda and VW owners get. The site supports all cars but I was just wondering if you felt if you were on the same ground as the others?

i think that people with domestics feel pressured to by hondas,i own a jeep, yet i am always at julep, and all the shows, ones love for a car should be respected.....wether you modify a honda or a lada it should be respected some modifications may be cheesy but we should still respect them!not all people can afford to buy type-R's or gti's but the haters and others do not always understand that!!!!

we also have to remember that it was domestics that started the whole drag scene!!!!!!!!!!

hum

respect! hum a big word..
I own a z-24 and what I see on young kids is that they don't know chit about cars!
They only thinck the honda's are fast!
hello wake up kid a base cavalier will match a stock base civic a z-24 will match a sir they are all driver stock to stock trhe problem is lack of suport for domestics look a p-flow for a domestic is twice the price of a civic civic after market parts is huge not the domestics anyway have fun drive hard acept a beat and enjoy a win!

Re: hum

yes i agree jeejaa, but there are not as many aftermarket parts for domestics as there are for inports, not to mention that inports are much easier to modify!!!!but it really should not matter.......

Domestic respect

I agree with redcherokee that we as Domestic drivers don't get the respect that we diserve. It seems to me that the majority of Import drivers have no respect for other car manufactuers, actually this manily the one who drive Hondas. Remember this is only a few of the people. I'm friends with many a Honda drive that respects the fact that I drive a V8 and the actually love my car. But those out there who reffer to a V8 as a dinosaur, well they aren't really "car-guys" a car guy by deffinition is someone who loves cars plan and simple. I myslef would call like to be reffered in that way, I drive a Domestic(and I'm keeping it!!) but I am planning on buying a Honda. Don't get me wrong the Domestic crowd has their version of the fake car gus as well, I think that both genres of cars have their to put it lightly "haters" but we have to realize that a persons car is a extention of thier personality, this goes for the so called |ricers" too, we have to respect a persons creativity when they build thier car. I know that not all of us can afford a Type R or a Camaro. but we try to make what we can afford, cool in a sence. I aslo have to agree that the after market parts for a Domestic car are a little more Pricey than those for an Import. I don't realy know an answer for this maybe its because, of the supply and demand factor. I don't know. but in anyevent I hope that like in human soceity both Domestic and Import drivers can be seen as what they are....Drivers.
thanks.

Because you didn't register you @#%$.

I thought you were some random guy dissing me about the variety on the site. Then I found out it was you and I just deleted the post. HAAHAHAHAAH

I'm just messing with you 15sec cav but you're a moderator now. You need to defend me against people like you. And I want you to treat this like a rental company. Each user is a customer and the customer is always right? Got it? No ****disturbing.

The only thing I wnat to say it's the honda car (most for the civic) are popular only because of their reliability! THhat's why there's so many people who buy them. For the aftermarket scene most of the part came from Japan, where the are built first! But the domestic are good car too, maybe less reliable but most of the time for the same price of a base imort you'll get a fully loaded domestic!

That's my 2 cents!

Civics are not just popular because of their reliability...they're so popular right now because they are the big trend... its just like in fashion, people follow the trends... If all the "cool" people drive civics,if i drive one i'll be cool too!!! LOL

Re: Respect

I would just say that I don't like the look of domestic cars, I don't see any point in moding a Cav BUT as the number of moded civic goes up, I also see no point in moding a civic or at least be original or different as Lowlife.

Just my 0.2$
