Hello everyone,
I have been trying to find a part for my '89 sable for a while without any luck. A little while back my rad fan blew and ended up causing a few wires to melt. Nothing big, i changed the fan and replaced the 3 wires that go to the fan motor. My problem is that the unit that controls the fan burnt too. now, the fan is on all the time. I am trying to locate this unit at a scrap yard and cannot. The unit is black, it is placed directly over the fan shroud and screwed/grounded to the rad support. Every place i go to has a huge amount of these units but they are all for 3.0l cars. My car is a 3.8l and has full climate control. The easy fix would be to run the fan through a relay to acc, but i want to fix this oem because the car is not a beater. Can anyone help? the car is an '89 sable gs 3.8l with climate control.
