You don't need any update to play, it is not an internet game with their lousy server.

I will be the server, i will provide the ip address you need to connect to.

Just go under multiplayer, p2p ip and enter the ip.

Anyone interested can join even if the race as already started, you will only have to wait 'til the present race is done and join the next one.

Lemme explain one last thing it is an internet game but not as it would for diablo or quake. The only use of the internet is to make a link between your computers and mine. Therefore you don't need the upgrade

There will be no race tonight, since i'm going to the movies but stay tuned for tomorrow.
