ok im a nissan guy so dont flame me i dont know shit about mazda that why im here
my question maybe dumb but i wonder if an RX7 manual tranny will fit bolt on in a mazda eunos cosmo type-e automatic
( i know i need pedal shifter and all that hardware but can the swap be made easilly)
engine in the cosmo is a 20B two rotor twin turbo

I dunno for the transmission, I think if you take the one of the 3 gen. that will fit. (not sure).
For the 20B, it 3 rotors, 2 rotors are 12A or 13B.
 
No, all RX-7 are 5 speed.

The only transmission that will fit a 20B engine is a 1993-2001 FD3S RX-7 (3rd Gen) manual transmission.

Where do you want to fit that engine ? You will also need an aftermarket programmable ECU since the Cosmo ECU will not properly work.

This engine conversion is very expensive, be prepaired and good luck !

the engine is already in the car but its an automatic tranny
im just checked if a tranny swap is possible before buying that car
i just wanna check the cost involve in such project

yeah that it i saw one ready to import but i dont want it automatic do you think this tranny swap is very expensive

btw youre rx7 is crazy dude

semms really nice !! i had bought the headlights kit with the silvia plate, but sadly my 240skyline got totalled before i could install them !!
 
achète pas la cosmo sur import concern ........ elle est accidenté et elle est battue .......

plus de troubles que d'autres choses .......

plus solide que celles des S6 ...... sinon, les transmission des séries 7 on beaucoup été améliorées ..... mais on en a pas ici .....

ya des gars qui on eu de lexcellent service avec import concern

btw: 'drift racer x' jai encore mon sileighty la cosmo c pour un autre projet que jai en tete mais bon pour linstant c juste de linformation sur les moteur/tranny mazda :bigup:

parce que je connais la personne qui l'avait avant ..... elle a été smashé du derrière et le frame est croche ......

check pour une autre ......
