I'm guessing FFracer is a cop or something he seems to know alot about this so if anyone or himself can shed some light it would be appreaciated. Thanks in advance.

To have a vehicule searched you need a search warrant signed by a judge correct? How long does it take to get verification can it happen on the spot? Also if they find weed is there any legal limit to have on you (decrimilized it's changed so many times i can't remember what's legal)?

If my concept on the signature is wrong please correct me *tu*

No warrant is needed for the frisk search (to insure the police officer's safety) and for the police officer to see what is in plain view in the car or to do a routine inspection of the vehicule's mechanical safety. Other than that, a warrant is needed. The answer is a little more complicated than that, but I will not give a more complete answer because this is a highway safety code section, not a criminal law forum ;)
