Consequences of a swapped engine?

I would like to know what would happen if someone had a car with a swapped engine that was not notified to insurance and was involved in an accident and hurting someone?
 
It is perfectly legal to have a swapped engine. As long as the work was done correctly.

On the insurance side, I can't speak for them... so to have the best answer you should contact them. From personnal experiences, and from what I have heard, some insurance companies wont give you the value of your engine if you did not declare it to them. They might even refuse to give anything back...

Check with them.
