Wrx sti pricing US- CAN

I was looking at the price of the sti and i noticed a big difference between the american and canadian price, in the US its about $32,200 USD but in canada its $39,223.65 USD or $47, 000 CAD why do we have this price diffence? thanks
 
Probably because of the exchange rate or wtv. I'm pretty sure thats it about I could be wrong
 
Different market, different pricing...


What makes things worse is that the US one comes with HIDs also and the canadian one doesn't :(
 
actually it does work out to less... but not much less, you'll get nailed with import fees that you don't get when buying here.
Also you won't have a warranty through subaru of canada.
There are alot of complications that are involved and it's just not worth it.
Trust me... I looked into it too ;)
 
yes cars are boguth in USD , so exchange rates affect pricing as well as import taxes to promote domestics
 
Sti from America starts at 32,295$ which is 38,929$ Canadian
Sti from Canada starts at 47,995$ which is 39,817$ American

its not the exchange rates because it's almost 10g's off
