At the last track day of the year last fall one, of the 3 :D Napi employees, was telling my friend and I that for 05 anyone running under 14 needs to wear a helmet. Anyone hear of this and is it confirmed?

Last year I think this rule applied only for sub 13s cars, right?

Anyway, it is an important safety device, why is this a problem? I mean, sub 14s trap over 100mph... if you hit a concrete wall at this speed, a helmet can surely help!!

Never said it was a problem. I was just wondering if anyone else had heard about this. I don't think the sub 13 cars needed helmets either last year. An STI was running in the 12's all summer and the driver had no helmet.

Last time I went there, they asked me to wear a helmet.

I thought the rule was as follows:
Rollcage+Helmet for cars that run under 12s.

The guy above yes dragstrips send ppl home for no helmets they also send ppl home who are running too fast without rollcages.

NHRA rules are 13.99 and under for helmets and 11.49 (new for 2004 cause it used to be 11.99) and under for a roll bar/roll cage.

Now, if they enforce it or not is a different story.
