I would rebuild your existing engine, I would NEVER trust a used tercel engine. Every single one leaks.

Seriously dude it hardly costs anything to rebuild those engines, you could pay the same amount for a "good" engine or be guaranteed on a full rebuild. I've owned 3 cars with those engines, trust me!!

Might aswell just buy a 5efe and ECU from a 1st gen paseo and stop worrying about leaky valve seals for good.

The first gen 5efe (92-95 paseo) is DOHC and produces ~100hp, is a direct bolt in to the tercel and can use the stock tercel tranny. I don't think the wiring harness needs much modification (if any) in 91-94 tercels and doesn't have the oil burning problems that the 91-94 tercel's 3ee has.
