bon je veux savoir de quel char et de quel années sa peut provenir ! car quelqu'un me dit qu'un thunder bird 87 venait avec un moteur 2.3L turbo coupe... et je voulais savoir si c'est le meme moteur que celui de mon tempo ! car c'est un 2.3L 1993 !!

The Tempo/Topaz 2.3 FWD engine shares nothing in common with the 2.3 RWD engine.


The 2.3 rwd block actually debuted in the early 70's as a 2.0 l engine in the Pinto.
I beleive it became a 2.3 around 1974 and the block design stayed relatively the same right up till most recentley in the Ranger.
It has also had a very successfull career in Formula racing .

The motor has lived in the Pinto/Bobcat, Mustang II, just about every Fox bodied car ever (Mustang, Capri,SVO, Fairmount, Zepher,Baby LTD and Marquis,T-bird TurboCoupe, Cougar XR7) ,the Merkur XR4Ti and lastly the Ford Ranger 1983-1997 (some though had the 8 plug head) It even lived shortly in the Areostar from 1986-1988 . The little engine was over-bored in 1998 to 2.5 litres for the Ranger and is still available this way today .
 
ok la l'autre question que je me posais... le turbo sur le moteur du thunderbird est qu'il peut fiter bolt on sur le moteur de mon tempo ? ainsi que l'intercooler ? l'ordinateur et les injecteurs ? car j'aimerais bien monté un ptit sleeper avec mon beater de tempo :p

Maybe the Turbo could work , but you would have to be very good at fabrication to fit everything .
Forget about the computeur though, doubt it would function correctly , you'd be better off seeing a specialiste and have something custom programed .

Personally it seems like more trouble than it's worth, and I doubt the powertrain would handle all that extrra power....

heuu non j'irais pas me chercher un v6 ou le véhicule laid que tu montres dans le lien.... c'est un BEATER le TEMPO !! j'avais la possibilité d'avoir justement le moteur de thunder bird pour vraiment pas cher donc je me suis renseigner savoir si sa pourrais marcher tout simplement ! car j'aurais rie en masse si sa l'aurais marcher et que je clancherais plein de petit honda... hahaha

je croit tu t pas assez renseigner sur le char je t'ai linker recherche merkur xr4ti a la place yen a beaucoup ici et puis pour ton tempo si tu veut pas mettre de v6 ya rien a faire de pas chere. je crois qu'un ti ranger 2wd pourrais le prendre ton moteur de thunderbird aussi
