eye browning??

machining a taper on top of the bore.

But anyone can tell me more about it and it's consequences on timing and compression ratio?

From Honda tuning handbook, joe petitt. They mention it but no details

Usually, this is performed in an effort to facilitate piston installation, or to use a head with a *slightly* larger cumbustion chamber than was designed to go on that particular block. Don't obsess over this.

Not obsessed with that! just curious.
And I guess this would be a good way to unshroud the valves.
