question on car keys

Hey everyone

i am asking for a friend..he only has one key for his 2000 Maxima and he is afraid if you loses it that it will become a problem ..

where, besides the dealers can he find keys for a Maxima and altima's?

And are Maxima keys spefici or can he just get any?

Canadian Tire will make one, it won't have the Nissan logo on it, but if you want, get a Nismo or Nissan key off ebay and go to CT or any hardware store to have it made.
 
ya i already knew there was a chip and that canadian tire doesn't do that, at the dealer it was actually 90...thx anyways guys
