it's the kinds of cheap mods that you don't do , this " air sensor mod " tricks your ecu into believing it is sending more air to your engine , i wouldn't suggest you doing this , just read this

FAST + GOOD = not cheap
FAST + CHEAP = not good
GOOD+ CHEAP = not fast

Pots

Actually guys, the ECT and IAT mods works perfectly and really gives you around 10-20 hp ... no bullshit. Here is how we do it on a ZX2 http://www.zx2racing.com/mods/mod_pots2.htm. It really cost my 5-10$ of pieces at Madison in Laval. 1/4 before "pots" (we call it this way cause we play with potentiometer or whatever is the right word) was 16.094, and when I hit the switch, the next run was 15.47 ... so yeah it works, but no you don't have to pay for this, find any good forum of your car and you'll have it for free

any good formum wont tell you to trick your engine into thinking it has cold air when it doesent! They will warn you of the hazards of tricking your car into thinking its running normall when its over heating! Sure it might be good to do a 1/4 mile run but dont go driveing too long with this opn or bye bye to your nice engine! + if reliable hp was that cheap everyone including the 85 year old grand pas would have it done to there car! Kinda like how people put a p-flow and craptive muffler on and say they gained 10 hp! lol man if it was that cheap every one would do it! Anyways all you get from theos 2 mods are 30+db

Actually you really get 10hp ... you've tried it ? I've had the switch since 1 year, no trouble at all, a whole forum is using those ... 2 years, probs, it's one of the most safe mods you can do ... witch switch, just don't cute the wire, you them for 15 min max, or anyway you get the service engine light ... cause it's not +10 hp, you re-get that 10 lost hp you loose when the car is hot, except instead of beating your car when it's cool just to get the max out of it, you hit de switch and get the lost power back, you can even use potentionmeter to adjust the temperature you want. Did you visit the forum ? teamzx2.com or zx2racing.com, they are really really good forums, clean forums. I'm talking for the ZX2, maybe not of other cars, but that one, yes you get 10hp ... just read man.

It seems that with this mod, some cars benefit more than others. If you have the time & the willingness to experiment, I don't think that this mod is necessarily a bad thing.

Personally, after trying it on my old Taurus & Escort, I wouldn't do it again. Although there was a bit of a drivability difference with the Escort...Nada for the Taurus.

From what I hear, If you're considering this mod, you have to match the resistance with both the IAT & the ECT for it to work (if it even does). Apparently, if you don't, the ECM will see that one of the sensors is not reading right and will disregard it completely. Thus no change for the better.

BTW, if it counts any, I would suggest going with a potentiometer rather than a resistor & be sure to sauter those splices.

moi je trouve pas ca tres claire comme modification ca plus l air dun jeux de mot et je croit pas que ca marche
