SR20DET smog

anyone know if this engine will pass the smog test in montreal or i shouldnt worry at all about it.
 
your gonna need some body mods im pretty sure but your better off just getting the SR20DET and upgrading the turbos.

Puting a 300zx TT engine in a 240sx is way too much of a big project, and would cost ALOT.

And SR20DET can be had for a reasonable price and the 240sx chassis AND tranny are exactly the same as the sylvia so it all made to sustain that power.

About smog, hmm, I think SR20DET's are OBDI thats one problem, it wont pas visual THATS for sure, for emissions, well, at low PSI with cat converter etc.... It should be ok, but Id have to check, maybe 240sx.org has info on that.

i think the 300ZX tt engine is way too much. an sr20det could probably make as much power with the same price as that engine alone.

depends what year and what type of sr20det you want
theres 3 types
one has 205 horsepower
one with 220
one with 240
