Hi, I bought a full coil-over Nissan 300zx suspension from Tein, model Control Master Type Flex. At:
Camo Tuning, 24e avenue Lachine (514) 637-6677
16 way demping/rebound ajustable, spring preload ajustable and, very important, ride height ajustement independant from spring preload ajustement. Retails at 1950$ can plus taxes.

As you all know, e30, (and most europeans) runs separate shock an spring setup in the rear. I is an ok setup, very reliable, strong and easy to maintain.
Coil over suspension use shock inside the spring. This kind of setup make it possible to ajust ride height very easily. This is what I converted to.

The pics:
First, a larger shock tower had to be built; made from a 6 inch mild steel pipe.

From inside the car, strut bar welded to the tower and to the floar.

zoom of the towers:

Tein installed. Minimum tire width was lost because of the shock and spring asembly (compared to only a slim shock). Maybe 1 centimeter or so. I m doing a wide body and calculated a maximum tire width at 280mm or 11 inch... I still have plenty of room.

Wide body (dont worry, its not made of putty)

wrong mounting point. Doe anyone have a pair of rear e30 or e36 shock. I need the mounting point so I can weld it to the coil-overs. Those are not right:
