3 series BMW

I would like to know if BMW offers a remote car starter for the 3 series. My brother has one but nobody will install one and BMW says there is not one offered. How can that be all cars today have them.

You can get an aftermarket one installed pretty much anywhere.

I am pretty sure it is a 1998. He does not want an after market one he wants one from BMW. He thinks that if they do not sell one there must be a reason. I was wundering if they were just fulling with him about not having one for his car.
