Depends what kind of a movie file, and what you are using to view it.

download a movie off of kazaa and burn it onto a cd!

Bah, do it old skool!!! Before I got my CD burner, (about 2 yrs ago!) I would hookup my VCR to the S-video out on my graphics card, and record it onto tape. It worked well enough!
