i recently installed a VLSD from a JDM S14,
when i drove it, the car drove differently from my S14 equipped with a regular vlsd, which is supposed to be identical to the JDM unit.
when i turn with the car in neutral or the clutch in, i can turn as fast as i want as sharp as i want, and it corners fine, but when i corner with the car in gear on tight turns with a bit of gas the rear end clicks and pops, and makes a bit of a grinding noise, the tires sound like they are sliding a bit too, but they dont chirp.
is it possible that the diff is welded? or that its an aftermarket?
